So, I figured I should finally blog. I think my problem for a while was lack of time and since then has been that I have no idea what to write about. I don't think my life is very interesting right now.
I am spending the summer in Waco, living with my parents and working at the YMCA summer camp. I have been in training this week and finish up some more next week, and then the actual camp starts after that. I am grateful that I got assigned to the camp that gets to go on 2 field trips a week! Most of them are places around Waco, but we also get to go the 6 Flags and the Ft. Worth Zoo. The difficult thing will be keeping up with all those kids in crowded places. I hope it all goes well.
Caleb is spending the summer in Norman, because he has two jobs and an apartment there already, but he applied for a job here, and if he were to get it, I guess there would be a possibilty still of him coming down here for the summer. That would be wonderful, but I am not going to get my hopes up.
He and I have decided to read the same books this summer.. I had been wanting to catch up on some of the classics that I have never read, and it also keeps us occupied, especially Caleb I think, since he is sort of alone up there, except for his family. We just finished Alas, Babylon. It was really great. I had been wanting to read it for a long time, but just never had. Caleb said it is one of his new favorites. Now we are about to start 1984, another one I have been wanting to read for a long time.
I am singing in Julianne and Josh's wedding this coming weekend. They are friends from church and homeschooling that I grew up with. It is so weird that they are getting married now! It makes me realize how old I am getting. I got a dress today to wear for the wedding and I really love it! Maybe I will put a picture up after the wedding.
Caleb is getting to come for the wedding. He is actually going to get in late Tuesday night...I can't wait!
Okay, I guess that is enough for now...I guess I have made up for not blogging in so long by rambling.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Alesia
